   Almost three-hour tight match, yet at the end of each set the favorite was slightly better. He got the first break at 4:3 and won both tie-breaks (9/7, 8/6). The first really difficult moment for him came at *5:6 (30-all) when he decided to risk his second serve (120 mph) and play an aggressive shot down the line off his backhand, and it worked out. He converted his third set point after a long rally. In the second tie-break Khachanov led *4:1 when Zverev [2] unleashed his best forehand of the day down the line. The Russian [50] had a double set point, but Zverev managed to get the last four points. Khachanov’s third unsuccessful attempt to win a major semifinal, in his previous two (vs Ruud and Tsitsipas) he won 3rd sets, this time he was really close to repeat it.
