   Medvedev [5] continues his super American Summer reaching fourth consecutive final! He easily broke in the opening game of the semifinal and controlled it to the end, albeit needed a good forehand to save a set point at *5:6 forcing Dimitrov’s [78] backhand error before clinching the 7/5 tie-break (Medvedev has won 12 SP-down sets, 4 of them at this year’s US Open). I’d say that the Bulgarian played his best tennis for the first two hours, but still it was not enough against the mega solid & methodical Russian, who hit just one forehand winner, quite accidental – squash shot from difficult position to pass the opponent, touching the side-line.
