   “I’d like to dedicate this victory to one of my best friends back home,” Murray [3] said in his speech at the presentation. “You’re going to be okay. You’re going to get through.” The Brit trailed 2:5 in the opener, at *5:6 (30/40) he fired an ace (209 kph) to win ten successive points closing the set out. Dimitrov [48], playing his first ATP final, under the tutelage of Mikael Tillstrom, led *4:3 (30/0) in the 2nd set, but he was unable to capitalise at the most important moments again; in the last game of the final he committed two double faults in a row… Murray began the 2013 season with high hopes, he finally had a Slam title under his belt, and wanted badly to become the best player in the world, but he would wait three more years to materialise it. Murray and Dimitrov face each other in Brisbane ’24 again (Murray’s last year on the tour), and the Bulgarian takes his revenge 4-6, 7-5, 6-2.
