   This night session match disappointed; when these two most offensive top players at the time previously met a few months earlier in the Canadian Open, Tsonga miraculously prevailed, hence another tight & entertaining contest between them was expected. Federer [1] lost one point with his forehand being close to the net when could have passed Tsonga easily; apart from that his forehand was sublime, Tsonga [1] was probably tired after tough matches in the fourth round & the quarterfinal (his first two five-setters at the age of 25), and with each set he was gaining one point fewer. The only time he got to ‘deuce’ at Federer’s serve occurred as he trailed 1:3 in the opener. After the match Federer was super relaxed and during an on-court interview with Courier, he was joking about his final against Murray (how they would construct the points).
