   31-year-old Bautista [24] at the top of his tennis performances that week in Qatar: after eliminating multiple Slam champions (Wawrinka, Djokovic), the Spaniard defeated one of the most consistent players of the 10s – Berdych [71], who returned to the circuit after a six-month break. The first break came at 3-all when Bautista fired his first three forehand winners. In the decider he saved a break point in the opening game, then he led 4:1* (40/0), but Berdych improved to 2:4* (40/15). Bautista served the championships out with ease, clinching the match with a forehand winner. The last final in Berdych’s career, the 34-year-old Czech finished his career nine months later with a 13-19 record in the main-level finals.
